Cross River State Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has said it would mobilise a minimum of one million votes for any candidate it endorses in the 2023 elections.
PFN Chairman in the State, Lawrence Ekwok,
made the promise during the 2022 PFN Pentecost Service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Calabar.
He said the commitment and backing of key leaders of the Pentecostal churches in the state have been secured to ensure the goal is achieved.
Ekwork noted that the objective is a task that can be accomplished, considering the votes that the winner of the 2019 governorship election in the state had.
He stated that the figure is something that the mega church can easily produce with their membership strength and mobilisation ability.
The Chairman urged all members in the state to take advantage of the ongoing voters registration exercise and ensure they register to vote in the forthcoming elections.
The guest speaker at the event, Bishop Curtis Fianu’s message titled, ‘Power above Powers.’
Bishop Fianu charged believers in Christ to take advantage of the Power of Pentecost to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and do legitimate signs and wonders.
“With the power of the Pentecost, there is nothing that is beyond your ability to accomplish. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever and as such, go ye out there and perform signs and wonders in the name of Christ through who we have been saved,” he charged the congregation.
Ministers, church leaders and members also prayed for the state and Christendom in general at the event.
The chairman of the planning committee, Pastor Victor Ovat, thanked the church leaders and members for mobilising massive attendance at the event and expressed belief that all were richly blessed at the occasion.
