Frontline APC aspirant for the Edo State Governorship election, Prof Senator Oserheimen Osunbor, has promised to empower the youth of Edo State through education and vocational training if elected governor.
The professor of law is revered for honouring his commitments and keeping his promises, and Edo State youths can take this to heart, especially with the subject being his forte.
The past Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is honourable and trustworthy, two uncommon qualities that set him apart from the myriad of aspirants for the Edo State number one seat.
He demonstrated this in the National Assembly and during his brief stint in the Edo State Government as Executive Governor for 18 months.
Within this period Osunbor constructed, refurbished more than 36 roads in the entire state.
Virtuous people are relatively less fallible and are never afraid of being held accountable for their words and actions.
A few days ago, Senator Osunbor once again demonstrated this sterling trait as he hinted at his immaculate dream for Edo State at the 12th-year anniversary, 8th graduation, and 9th admission ceremony of the Centre for Edo/Delta Development Initiative.
He held everyone at the D Gallary Event Centre, T.V. Road, Benin City spellbound with his savvy and insightful remarks, underscoring the significance of empowering individuals through education and vocational training.
He stressed the essence of the initiative in shaping the future of its graduates, highlighting the importance of skill acquisition in fostering regional and state development.
Essentially, this will finally curtail the age-long exodus of Edo State youths to other countries, staking their lives through the Sahara Desert and the Atlantic Ocean.
Only benevolent leaders like Senator Osunbor can make Edo State excel on all fronts and once again become “the Heartbeat of the Nation” for the right reasons.
Senator Osunbor is tested and trusted. Edo people should follow someone who knows the road, not like other aspirants who will be misled by sychophants or spend their first term in the office learning rope to the detriment of peace and the progress of the state. No state wants that in these precarious times.
