Substitute Bobby de Cordova-Reid scored the winning goal as Fulham edged to victory over wasteful Everton in their opening game of the new Premier League season.
Forward De Cordova-Reid, who replaced Willian at half-time, snuck in unmarked at the far post to convert from Andreas Pereira’s pass to give manager Marco Silva the perfect start to the new campaign.
Cordova’s goal separated both sides at Goodison park.
Brighton picked it up from where they stopped last season after beating premiership new comers Luton Town by 4-1.
Solly March, Joao Pedro, Somon Anigra Evan Ferguson all scored for the home side, while Luton Town’s only goal was scored by Carlton Morris via a spot kick in the 81st minute.
Elsewhere Bournemouth and West Ham settled for a 1-1 draw, while Crystal Palace defeated Sheffield United by a lone goal.
