Manchester City today at the Etihad stadium piled more pressure on Arsenal as they defeated hard fighting Newcastle United by 2-0.
Phil Foden’s superb solo goal was the first of the game inside 16th minute, the youngster glided in from the right and holding off two challenges before seeing his shot deflected home off Sven Botman.
Newcastle responded well and were causing plenty of problems until City substitute Bernardo Silva slotted home to put the game out of their reach midway through the second half.
City are back to trailing Arsenal by 5 points after initially reducing it to 2 points before the Gunners played their game against Bournemouth which they won 3-2.
