Brazil and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro ‘regrets’ joining Manchester United from Real Madrid, a report has shown.
The Brazilian moved to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in a big-money move last summer and made a huge impression under Erik ten Hag in his debut season, helping United to a top-four finish and Carabao up glory.
However, the defensive midfielder hasn’t replicated his last season form so far in the 2023/24 season.
Casemiro has struggled for form this season, with opposition managers deliberately targeting him.
It has now emerged that Casemiro ‘regrets’ making the move from Spain.
It is understood that his time at United could be “short-lived”, with the 31-year-old concerned over “institutional instability” at the club.
United are also “not happy with” Casemiro and are interested in signing Joao Neves from Benfica as a replacement.
However, they could make a formal bid for Neves, which might led to Casemiro’s future being evaluated in the summer.
United are unlikely to sell Casemiro in January given the fact he is still under contract until 2026.
Manchester United have struggled for form this season as they have only managed to gather 15 points from 9 matches.
