Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has given detailed explanation why his team lost 2-0 against Brentford in Saturday’s Premier League tie.
Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo scored one goal apiece to give the visitors the maximum points at Stamford Bridge.
However, speaking at his post-match press conference, the former Tottenham Hotspur coach said Chelsea were not clinical in front of goal against the visitors, adding that the Blues failed to score after the first half.
“After the first half we should score and we should. If you don’t score you should blame yourself,” Pochettino said.
“We were not clinical. Sometimes you need luck and after for sure the game changed in the second half. We cannot concede this type of goal.”
Chelsea will now tackle Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
