Former member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Lovette Idisi narrowly escaped death while returning from a condolence visit on Friday.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the video of the incident has gone viral on social media, especially on Facebook.
“This was what was planned for me, Rt. Hon. Idisi. This is my car [referring to the accidented car]. Today, this was what was planned for my life. I don’t usually wear a seatbelt,” Idisi was heard saying in the video in circulation.
TNG reports Idisi represented the Ethiope Federal Constituency in the 8th National Assembly.
An eyewitness at the scene of the accident said he was returning from a condolence visit to the family of late Olorogun Kenneth Okpara at Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area when the accident happened.
Late Okpara was a former Delta State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning and a governorship aspirant for the 2023 elections. He died on Friday, November 19, 2021.
