Former President Goodluck Jonathan has revealed the outcome of his Friday’s meeting with President Bola Tinubu, following his victory at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Jonathan disclosed he had been scheduled to meet with Tinubu before his Supreme Court victory but that he could not meet up with the schedule.
The former President disclosed he talked a lot about the country with President Tinubu, and how the country can move forward.
“This appointment actually is almost like a week ago, but we couldn’t and today, it now coincided with the judgement of the Supreme Court. So, it was an opportunity for me to congratulate Mr President.
“We talked a lot about the country and then you will soon see me [again] because there are certain things we discussed that the country must move forward. Elections are over; so, we must move forward,” Jonathan said.
Speaking further, he said: “We have challenges economically now but we still have what it takes to lead Africa. These are some of the issues and I will continue to have the conversations with Mr President, including briefing him on all my foreign programmes because they are not personal issues”.
