Former Vice President Namadi Sambo has said President Goodluck Jonathan’s goodwill saved him from immigration stress in the United States as merely mentioning his name [Jonathan] paved way for him.
He told dignitaries at the ongoing Jonathan’s book launch that the immigration officer even forgot to stamp his passport, “I had to go back to ask him to stamp it.”
Sambo who was full of praises for his former boss told the audience how he equally saved Nigeria from the Ebola scourge.
He said” the president had just arrived from the US at about 5am and at about 6am he called me to be in a meeting and knowing he had just arrived from an 11hour trip I was surprised.
“Until WHO declared Nigeria Ebola free we never relaxed, working with him was a rewarding experience.
Nigeria will remain ever grateful to a leader who relinquished power at a time Africa leaders remain seated in office.
