The Federal Government has clarified that there are no plans to reduce working days for Federal Civil Service employees.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, made this announcement during a Media Parley in Abuja, marking the commencement of the 2023 Civil Service Week.
Yemi-Esan explained that such a measure is unnecessary because the current administration, led by President Tinubu, is actively working on sustainable palliatives for civil servants.
One of the measures being implemented by the Federal Government is the purchase of mass transit buses that will run on gas instead of diesel.
The government is already converting existing buses from diesel-powered vehicles to ones that operate on gas. This move is aimed at alleviating the burden of increased fuel costs on civil servants and the general public.
