The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, sacked the General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Bolaji Oreagba.
Sanwo-Olu replaced Oreagba with Bakare Oki Olalekan who will serve as the acting GM of LASTMA with immediate effect.
This development was made public via astatement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation, Olawale Musa, explaining that Bakare-Oki’s appointment is for better performance and continued effective traffic management on Lagos roads.
Before his appointment, Bakare-Oki was the Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA.
While congratulating Bakare-Oki for his appointment, the governor also appreciated the outgoing General Manager for his commitment and meritorious service to the state.
