…Nine suspects on Army camouflage uniform

The Nigeria Police Force on Wednesday paraded 58 suspects comprising of 57 male and one female for alleged involvement in criminal activities including Kidnapping, Armed robbery, car Theft, gun running and other criminal activities.
Parading the suspects before newsmen the Force Public Relations Officer FPRO Mr Frank Mba siad that the suspects were arrested through the combined efforts of the Special Tactical Squad and the Inspector-General of Police IGP’s Intelligent Response Unit of the Force at their different hideouts in Abuja, Kaduna, Ilorin, Port Harcourt Lokoja and Benin City
The Police image maker identified the first set of suspects as Buhari Bello 34, Abdullahi Doti 39, Suleiman Bello 30, Adamu Chiroma 43, Bala Mohammed all from Kaduna State and Muritala Lawal 33 from Zamfara State.
Other suspects are: Zubairu Adamu 27, Dauda Isah 30, Gambo Magaji 24, Kabiru Rimwanu 30, from Kano. Others are Isa Yahaya 27, Abdullahi Abaubakar 38 all from Kaduna State, and Shamsudden Ismail from Niger State
Still on the list is one Captain Ekwueme who allegedly sew Army camouflage uniform to hoodwink victims of his vicious kidnapping syndicate as a member of the Nigeria Region based in Port Harcourt.
There were also nine other suspects arrested by the Police team with Army camouflage uniform said to have been involved in many kidnapping and armed robbery cases that have been report along the ever busy Zaria Kaduna highway.
Again, one of the suspects Kabiru Abdullahi was siad to led a hand of kidnappers that kidnapped a lawmaker on Zaria-Kaduna expressway and were paid a whopping sum of ten million Naira to for him to be released.
Some of the exhibits said to have been recovered from them include 18 AK47 rifles, 1233 rife ammunitions, 9 pump action guns, 5 single barrel gun, 1 automatic pistol, 1 hand grenade and 23 life cartileges .
Others are 2 Gulf pleasure cars, 9 camouflage Army uniforms, and 1 hand grenade.
Moreover, one them a female was said to have lured a middle aged man to a hotel and drugged him and carted away 1.5 million Naira and other valuable from him.
Other suspects were allegedly involved in operation of a crime popularly known as one chance in which commuters are robbed and pushed away in moving vehicles.
The Police image maker added that all the cases against the suspects had been investigated and the cases had been established against them.
He has therefore warned members of the public to be careful while picking peoe along the roads saying that most of those who were helped by car owners had turned out to be some of these criminals.
He also seriously warned the citizens to be wary of the kind of things they take from people while on transit as hoodlums have now on the major means of transportation in many parts of the country
