How sad! Prof? So soon! How really sad. My deepest condolences to the PAU and, in particular, the SMC. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, amen. And may the good Lord grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss through the same Christ our Lord, amen.
Dear All, “I’m using this group for this announcement because all the staff of the school are here.
“We have received the sad and very shocking news of the passing of Prof Biakolo. He was the pioneer dean of the SMC, and the firm foundation of SMC is largely thanks to him.
“We have all had close relations with him, so it is a great loss at both the personal and the institutional level. He will indeed be greatly missed. But we embrace the will of God.
Please pray for the repose of his soul and that God may grant solace to his family.
” In two years? He would be the third, after Dr. Okolo (June 2022) and Dr. Nweze who died last month.
” But we all remember him as a member of The Guardian Editorial Board. Powerful writer too. He was briefly on this platform.
” Gosh! Has he? Oh my! Unfair death, stupid! May he rest in peace, even as I am assured his notions will outlive him. God comforts his loved ones. Over. AA.
“I met him again at SMC. Intrepid scholar. Critical thinker. Gentleman. He devoted his last days to building families. I recall my last discussion with him on the radio station they were trying to float. May God grant his soul easy passage.
“What ? Prof Biakolo has passed? He was lecturer to some of us here, at the School of Media and Communications ( SMC) LBS.
A fine and humble Prof. AN ERUDITE PROFESSOR DEPARTS:_*
I Deeply Commiserate With The Entire Household Of My Friend, Professor Emevwo Biakolo.
My Heartfelt And Deepest Condolences. May The Almighty Mighty Jehovah Grant Him Eternal Rest.
May His Shortcomings Be Forgiven. May The Almighty Jehovah Comfort His Family More. Amen.

“I read this with great sadness. Prof was a mentor. He was easy-going, wise, and patient. He encouraged one to think outside the box when we met in 2008 and sought me out for a project several years later.
He refused to accept my reluctance to serve on as an honorary exco and laughed off my explanation with a proverb. I was thinking of contacting him again just this week.
But I’m glad he fulfilled his vision to be a marriage counsellor and also to bring to life his family- friendly publication.
Rest in Peace Dear Prof EB????. You’ve left behind legacies.
Biaks…so hard to believe, far harder to accept. Safe journey.
Shocking! Please accept my condolences, Editor.
He would be the second iroko to fall in the communication school within 1 – 2 years, if my memory serves me right.????
May his soul rest in peace. Our paths didn’t cross, but I read him.
