The Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Education, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh on Tuesday said Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is ready to push Lagos from 5th to 3rd Africa’s largest economy through the state’s appetite for investment in technology.
Obafela who made the statement at a Social Sector Open House organised by Lagos and Bridge International Academies, stressed that Lagos needs a new generation of technology literate graduate to drive the state forward.
“Governments appetite for investment in technology must continue to increase as this has become the most viable platform to reviving the growth of many social and economic indices.”He added
Obafela emphasised the need for government to continue to invest in technology to drive national growth while sighting the example of Lagos State which recently launched her educational-technology program named ‘codelagos’, targeting at equipping million young people with coding skills.
