Nollywood actress, Ariyo Oluwakemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, has shared videos from the funeral.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Gbemi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021. As a result of this, she traveled to Dubai, UAE for chemotherapy which lasted about 6 months.After her medical treatment in Dubai, she came back to Nigeria cancer-free. On Friday, the 25th of March, 2023, the actress complained of memory loss and headache.
She was rushed to the hospital, but, unfortunately, Gbemi was pronounced dead.
The tragic news was shared by the late actor’s colleagues, Itele and Zainab Balogun who mourned her on their Instagram pages.
Many others had also take to their respective pages to paid her goodnight.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Gbemi was a beautiful Nigerian actress known for appearing in Yoruba movies.
Gbemi shockingly died on Friday, March 24th 2023.
Her career consisted of appearances in multiple Yoruba movies, with the most prominent being “Imelda” (2022).
Gbemi, as she was popularly known, was born in 1990 and contracted ovarian cancer in her early thirties.
That eventually led to her sad death in March 2023.
According to reports, the actress on Friday complained of memory loss and headache.
She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.
The tragic news was shared by the late actress’ colleague, Itele, who mourned her passing on his Instagram page.
He wrote, “Allahu Akbar, RIP Gbemi. O ma se o. Vanity upon vanity 🕯#inalillahiwainalillahirojiun”
Other colleagues jumped on social media to react to the shocking news.
Odunlade Adekola shared a picture of a candle on his Instagram page and wrote “R.I.P Gbemi.”
Kunle Afod wrote, “May she rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
Reacting to the news, Nkechi Blessing wrote, “Toh this one weak me.”
