Loris Karius ended the Champions League final by apologising to Liverpool fans after his two errors cost his side dear in Kiev.
Having seen off Simon Mignolet for the right to wear the Liverpool No 1 shirt earlier in the season, Karius was named in goal for the club’s Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev.
The first of Karius’ two howlers came in the 31st minute as Karim Benzema scored one of the most bizarre goals in Champions League history.
