Dr Toju Eresanara, a popular doctor in Delta State, who played a key role in the reshaping and development of the Central Hospital, Warri, has died of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) complications.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Dr Toju, who was a former Zonal Medical Director and Consultant Anaesthetist at the Hospital, died on Wednesday.
He was undergoing treatment at the COVID-19 treatment centre in Asaba after testing positive to the dreaded virus.
Toju was said to have been placed on oxygen for about a week after his health degenerated.
