The House of Representatives has rescheduled its debate for the 2019 Appropriation Bill to Wednesday.
The motion by House Leader Femi Gbajabiamila that the bill be stepped down till tomorrow to enable proper study of the documents led to this ruling by the Deputy Speaker, Yusuf Lasun who presided the plenary on Tuesday.
According to Mr. Gbajabiamila: “Mr Speaker I pray that you step down the bill and give us about 24hours to study the documents.”
Without further deliberation on the floor, Lasun ruled in his favour.
He called on members to indicate interest by submitting their names in the case of contributing to the debate on the floor.
Earlier, Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun had explained that a slight error noticed in the figure report of the 2019 Appropriation Bill was the reason why the debate could not go on last week.
