A media aide of the National leader of All Progressive congress Tunde Rahman, has explained reasons his principal Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is an aspirant under APC missed the National Executive Meeting (NEC).
Rahman revealed that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not a member of the National Executive Council and cannot be given permission to attend.
The President was joined by his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, other members of the National Working Committee, Board of Trustees and state governors.
Rahman said that those who attended the meeting are duly endorsed to do so by virtue of their positions.
“Asíwájú is not a member of NEC. He is a member of the National Caucus. Members of NEC are the President, VP, Senate President, Speaker, State chairmen of the party and members of the national executives of the party,” he said.
President Buhari,Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other principal officers of the National Assembly, APC governors and state party chairmen attended the NEC meeting held in Abuja.
