In the past seven days, the daily situation reports by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic in the country showed a scary trajectory.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports this is even as Nigeria recorded the highest number of Coronavirus cases in a day on Friday, and the disease claimed the life of President Muhammadu Buhari’s most powerful aide, Abba Kyari same Friday.
It is worrisome as the number of Coronavirus cases continue to intensify on a daily basis. While these cases may be coming as a result of improvement in NCDC testing capacity, there are fears that prediction of doom is coming to pass.
The daily average of COVID-19 in the country shot beyond what is usual on Friday since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country on 27 February. In March, the number of cases maintained a 4.5 daily average. However, in the last 7 days of April, the daily average stands at 32.
While the figures of the disease may not be as scary as what other nations are battling with, it is the earnest expectations of Nigerians that the curve downs to zero so everyone could return to normal life.
