Newly sworn-in President, Bola Tinubu has noted that he will respect the presidential candidates of Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar respectively.
Tinubu added that the last election was better off than previous ones in the country.
“My victory does not render me more Nigerian than the rest of you. It also does not render my opponents less Nigerjan than me. I will treat my opponents, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, as important compatriots,” Tinubu said in his inaugural address at Eagle Square, Abuja.
Meanwhile, president Tinubu has has sustained fuel subsidy removal, saying that it’s no longer sustainable to do continue to subsidize fuel in the country.
