Mubi attacks: US reaffirms stand with Nigeria

The United States (US) has condemned Tuesday’s twin explosion in Mubi, Adamawa State in which over 20 persons were killed, and reaffirmed commitments with Nigeria in its fight against the scourge of terrorism.

This is contained in a statement signed by White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

“The United States condemns in the strongest terms the craven terrorist attacks Tuesday against a mosque in Mubi, Nigeria.

“These attacks, which deliberately targeted people at a place of worship, are a stark reminder of the depravity of those who commit mass murder against innocents.

“As President Donald J. Trump reaffirmed with President Buhari of Nigeria on Monday, the United States stands firm with Nigeria in its fight against the scourge of terrorism,” the statement read.
