Senator Representing the Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Magnus Ngei Abe welcomes President Muhammadu Buhari, to Rivers State as he commissions the New Terminal Building of the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.
Abe called on the people of the Senatorial District, the good people of Rivers State and residents to come out en masse to give the President a rousing welcome during his one day official visit to the state.
Abe who is a frontline Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the 2019 general election commended the President for his various efforts in developing the country since he assumed office over three years ago.
A statement issued in Port Harcourt by his spokesperson, Parry Saroh Benson specifically thanked Mr. President for the implementation of UNEP report on Ogoniland, the construction of the Bodo-Bonny Road, the N-Power scheme and other notable projects/programmes of his administration.
Abe further said the President also deserves commendation for keeping to his promise of continuing the amnesty programme for ex-agitators in the Niger Delta, an effort that has stabilized the region and restored relative peace in the last couple of years.
“We most heartily welcome Mr. President to Rivers State, even as we trust that his demonstration of live for the peace loving people of the state has just begun,” the statement said.
