Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori the Governor of Delta State is 60 years old but that’s not the ‘koko’ the ‘koko’is that he is one man with the endowment of the proverbial cat with nine lives.
Immediately he declared his intention to run the guber election in a state that he managed the legislative arm for almost six years as at 2022, the salvos that welcomed his intention were legion.
Caterpillars, cankerworms, the owners of Delta, ‘egungun’ of all shades and colour started a war of attrition and at a stage it was as if Oborevwori was alone as bullet proof jacket and native ‘otomokpo’ could not even block the laser bullets.
The bullets couldn’t penetrate including the ones laced with arrows of doom.
He was clothed with all manners of names that best could be described as unprintable graffiti against his person.
The press did not spare him either as sponsored and syndicated stories flew from all corners of the world. The opposition party flew impossible stories telling whoever cared to listen that this man Oborevwori must not smell Asaba Government House in 2023.
Yet! Sheriff Oborevwori weathered the storm, placed his life under the feet of the Almighty.
Against all odds, he got the ticket to run a battle filled with booby traps laced with nuclear warheads. An unprecedented legal tussle that was life threatening.
But today, Oborevwori holds sway as the number one citizen of Delta State. Who say God no dey alive?
