The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje has been suspended from the party.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Ganduje was suspended by the executives of Ganduje Ward in Dawakin-Tofa local government area of Kano State.
The former Kano Governor was suspended over alleged corruption, including allegations of bribery levelled against him by the Kano State Government.
The legal adviser of the ward, Halliru Gwanzo, addressed journalists on the suspension on Monday.
Gwanzo explained that the decision to suspend Ganduje from the party was due to the bribery and misappropriation of funds allegations levelled against him by the Kano State Government.
He said that the suspension of the party national chairman was a unanimous decision of the members of the ward.
He said Ganduje could not clear his name amid corruption allegations that followed his 8-year administration.
“The members decided to suspend the national chairman’s membership after a vote of no confidence was passed on him due to his inability to clear his name from various allegations of corruption against him, that range from the circulated dollar videos where he was allegedly collecting bribe from contractors,” he added.
