Heavily armed thugs chanting slogans of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have invaded the situation room of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship election in Adamawa state.
The thugs threatened to burn down the PDP situation room, alleging ballot stuffing, among other electoral infractions.
The PDP situation room is located in the Dougire neighbourhood in Yola, the state capital.
However, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called for calm and directed security agencies to investigate the allegation. He also promised to deal with anyone found to be fomenting trouble in the state
The governor said, “Go to the situation room of my party if you find anyone stuffing ballots or any sensitive materials there, report it for the law to take its course.”
