The labour Party (LP) Presidential, Senatorial and Federal House of Reps won elections in Calabar South and Calabar Municipal in Cross River State.
LP defeated All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with wide margins in most of the polling units in the two local government areas of the state.
In Ward 4, Asiabang, Ediba Road, Unit 026, the Presidential Candidate of the LP, Peter Obi, defeated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the APC with 85 votes against 5 and Atiku Abubarka of PDP scored 2 votes.
In the Senatorial election, Daniel Asuquo of LP, won with 51 votes, Asuquo Ekpenyong of APC scored 17, Ekpo Okon of PDP got 27 votes.
In the House of Reps, the LP defeated the PDP with 48 votes against 30 and APC took third place with 19 votes.
The LP also floored other parties at ward 6, Polling unit open space Redeem and polling unit 07 both at RCC roundabout with long margins.
At Redeem Polling unit 6, Obi won with 152 votes, Tinubu, 20 votes and Atiku, one votes while in Unit 07, Obi got 114 votes, Atiku scored 12 and Tinubu scored 11 votes.
Senatorial election LP, scored 63 in unit Redeem and 68 at unit 07, while PDP scored 54 in unit Redeem and 53 in Unit 07. And APC got 52 in Unit Redeem and 20 in unit 07.
Also in Ward 4, Big Qua polling units 021, the Presidential candidate of LP defeated Presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu with 57votes against 6 while the PDP, Atiku Abubakar polled 3 votes.
