Baciro Cande the head coach of Guinea-Bissau has said that his side will pit up a good showing when they face Nigeria in the last group A match today at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan
The Djurtus have a slim chance of progressing to the group stage in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, after losing their opening two games of the competition.
After losing two group A matches, the Djurtus presently occupy the last spot on the group.
Guinea-Bissau are also yet to win a game in the history of the AFCON.
The gaffer said his players are highly motivated for the game and will go all out for a win.
“We are excited to play a good match tomorrow,” he told reporters in Abidjan.
“We have one match to close the first phase of the competition and we will do everything to have a good game tomorrow.
“It will be difficult but we will do everything possible tomorrow. We want to have our first AFCON win tomorrow.”
The last group A encounter will see all the teams playing simultaneously by 6pm.
