Arsenal and England forward Danny Welbeck returned training after seven months out with a knee injury.
Wellbeck, 26, has been sidelined since May 8 when he injured his right knee in a 2-2 draw against Machester city in the premier league
He had missed the first seven months of last season with another knee injury.
Wenger, Arsenal manager said: “It is fantastic. For him, it is like starting a new career because he has been out for such a long time.”
Arsenal will host West Brom on Boxing Day, Wenger has said he will be patient with welbeck and will not rush him into playing.
Welbeck has scored 13 times in 49 appearances for the Gunners after leaving Manchester United for £16m in September 2014.
