Bottom place Nottingham Forest shocked Liverpool to secure their second win of the season.

Steve Cooper’s side approached the Liverpool game after experiencing a poor run of form in their first season in the English Premier League 22 years after going down.

Liverpool missed a couple of chances in the first half with Fabio Carvalho wasting a glorious chance to put the Reds up.

Few minutes later ,Virgil Van Dijk had another opportunity to aim at goal via a header but chose to pass to Firminio who was few seconds late to get to the pass.

Upon resumption in the second half, Gomez was intercepted by the Nigerian striker Awoniyi and the English defender fouled him.

It was Awoniyi again who latched on to a loose ball from a freekick to hit the post and the resultant rebound was converted by the Nigerian Striker to put   Steve Cooper’s side one goal up.

The goal proved to be the decider as all effort for  Liverpool  to get an equalizer  proved abortive in the game.

The loss is Liverpool’s third of the season and  could drop below top 10 at the end of match day 12.
