France and Manchester United forward, Anthony Martial, has equaled former soccer legend David Beckham’s goals record at Old Trafford.
The France international equaled Beckham’s record after scoring against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg 2-0 victory.
Martial has now scored 85 goals same number with David Beckham for the Red Devils.
Martial and Marcus Rashford were introduced into the game versus Nottingham Forest, but Martial scored his 85th goal for the club side 10 minutes after coming on.
Midfielder Casemiro unleashed Martial in behind, and when Rashford’s shot was deflected into his path, he made no mistake in firing a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.
Martial’s goal made it 1-0 on the night at Old Trafford, in a match where chances were at a premium, and 4-0 on aggregate.
However, another goal from midfielder, Fred came shortly after, and 2-0 is how the match stayed, setting up a Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United on Sunday, 26 February.
Liverpool are the defending champions of the Carabao cup but was eliminated from the tournament by Manchester City Football Club.
