Following the heated argument that ensued between Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro after their 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, Manchester United coach has backed both players for their actions.
However, Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has insisted that he saw “no problem” with both players having heated argument.
Casemiro appeared to be lambasting his team-mate before Harry Maguire came over to intervene.
Both players have previously been caught on camera arguing on the pitch, most recently after winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley.
But speaking to United’s official website, Ten Hag has said he encourages his players to confront each other.
“Yes, of course [I encourage them]. They have to communicate. They have to organise it and make sure we get a win.
“So when they are talking to each other, in discussion, debating with each other, I don’t have a problem with that,” Ten Hag said.
