Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, has said that the club is not interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo after his contract was terminated at Manchester United few days ago.
The Blues were heavily linked with the 37-year-old back in the summer when he initially wanted to leave Manchester United.
Ronaldo is now free like a bird to join any club interested in signing him from the January transfer window.
According to Ronaldo, the World Cup is his priority at the moment where he’s representing and focusing on how to win games for Portugal.
Boehly has the finances to fund a move for Ronaldo, however the UK Sun reports that he will not.
A source said: “Chelsea have gone cold on him, but if Todd Boehly decided to change his mind he would take some stopping.”
Boehly regarded Ronaldo as a marquee signing in his first transfer window, but the-then manager Thomas Tuchel was not keen on Ronaldo.
Although Graham Potter has since replaced Tuchel, there have been no signs of the Blues reigniting their interest.
Sources in the football world have linked Ronaldo to a number of clubsides including, Newcastle, Napoli, Real Madrid and many others.
Ronaldo will speak on his destination after the World Cup currently holding in Qatar.
