Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have confirmed that Antonio Conte has left his job as manager of the clubside.
Antonio Conte fell out with the team management and players after his recent outburst after his side 3-3 draw against Southampton.
in a post match conference, Conte described the management and players as being selfish and not purposeful.
Spurs are currently occupying the fourth position on the Premier League table with no hope of winning a silverware.
The North London club has not won a trophy since the League Cup in 2008.
“We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place.
“We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our club and amazing, loyal supporters,” Chairman Daniel Levy said in a statement on Sunday evening.
Conte’s assistant, Cristian Stellini, has been named acting head coach for the rest of the season, with Ryan Mason chosen as his assistant.
After the press conference, Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy described Conte’s position as untenable, and has now parted ways with the Italian.
