Arsenal gaffer, Mikel Arteta is working towards bring Barcelona Striker, Ferran Torres in January transfer window to replace Gabriel Jesus who’s out injured.
Arteta had tried to sign Torres during the Summer when he was at Manchester City but didn’t work out but instead opted Gabriel Jesus.
However, the 22-year-old could now be set for a switch back to England just 12 months after leaving for Nou Camp.
Having spent just one season, Barcelona are set to allow Torres leave in January for a transfer fee of £46.3 million Pounds after signing a five year contract for the Catalan giant.
Barcelona are convinced they will not be able to recoup most of the original fee that they paid Man City, with Torres claimed to be among a number of potential exits.
Torres scored two goals for Spain at the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup before the La furia Roja exited the tournament.
Torres will be saddled with the responsibility of filling Gabriel Jesus’ shoes at Arsenal after the Brazillian striker got injured playing for the Samba boys in Qatar.
Jesus has been ruled out for up to four months after injuring his kneel and will be missing in action for the greater part of the current season at Arsenal.
