Arsenal’s hopes of winning their first title in 20 years have suffered a big setback after losing 4-1 to Second place Manchester City at the Etihad on Wednesday night.
In the 8 minutes of the encounter, De Bruyne received a low pass from Erling Haaland and then sent whistling a low curling drive into the bottom corner from 25 yards for City’s first goal of the night.
In the dying minute of the first half, De Bruyne curls in a free kick to the far post in Arsenal’s 18-yard box, defender, John Stones rises highest and plants a header across Ramsdale that flies into the top-right corner.
Haaland, again provided another assist to De Bruyne, who steered a sidefoot into the bottom right corner for City’s third goal of the night.
De Bruyne has had a hand in three of the goals scored by Manchester City in the pulsating encounter.
Mikel Arteta’s side had few chances but were not converted.
However, In the 88th minute, Rob Holding lashed on to a pass from Leandro Trossard and then shoots past goalie Enderson for Arsenal’s consolation goal of the encounter.
Prolific forward, Erling soon put the icing on the cake with a dying minute goal to kill off the game at the Etihad.
Haaland has now scored 33 English Premier League goals so far in the season.
The result meant Manchester City now trail Arsenal with just two points but with two games in hand.
