Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has stated reasons why the club management has not sacked him despite Liverpool’s recent poor run of form.
According to Klopp, he is yet to lose his job because of his past achievements with the Premier League club, not their form this season.
Klopp was reacting to the sackings of Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers at Chelsea and Leicester respectively on Sunday.
Liverpool will play its outstanding game with Chelsea who have also sacked its manager Graham Potter on Tuesday night at Anfield.
Since thrashing Manchester United 7-0 Liverpool have lost two premier league games against Bournemouth and Manchester City.
Despite Liverpool sitting eighth on the table, Klopp knows fully well he could have been sacked too.
“I’m aware of the fact I’m sitting here because of the past, not because of what we did this season,” Klopp said.
“If this was my first season, that would be slightly different. We have smart owners who know about the situation, but that doesn’t mean anything else.”
