Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Manchester United’s minority owner, has revealed club he would love to win the Premier League title.
Ratcliffe said he would rather see Arsenal win the Premier League title this season ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool.
Arsenal sit on top of the premier League standing with 64 points same as Liverpool but the Gunners lead with goal difference.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that Ratcliffe and INEOS completed the purchase of a 27.7 per cent stake in United in February.
This means they will assume control of all football operations at Old Trafford from the Glazer family.
They face a huge task ahead to close the gap between themselves and the three teams at the top of the league.
Just one point separates Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City with 10 fixtures left in what has become the tightest title race ever.
Speaking on the Geraint Thomas Cycling Club podcast, Ratcliffe was reluctant to pick a favourite, insisting he hates them all.
But when pushed by Thomas, he admitted “it would be good” to see Mikel Arteta get his side over the line, praising the patience shown by Gunners with their manager over the years.
He said: “I hate them all! We have got Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal, haven’t you? I don’t know. They are all the enemy, I couldn’t possibly choose one.
“It would be good for Arteta, actually. He has done really well there. Arsenal have been patient with him, which is nice as well.”
