Declan Rice’s last second goal ensured Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League table is extended by five points after defeating Luton Town 4-3 at the Kenilworth road on Tuesday night.
Rice secured all three points for the Gunners when it seemed both sides were going to share the spoils in the thrilling encounter, his goal signalled the end of the match.
Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Osho looked like sending the sides in level at the break but Gabriel Jesus headed the Gunners back in front before the break.
Within 10 minutes of the restart, strikes from Elijah Adebayo and Ross Barkley put the hosts in front, but were behind for just three minutes before Kai Havertz managed to pull the Gunners level again just at the half hour mark.
Rice is the third different Arsenal player to score two 90th-minute winning goals in a single Premier League campaign, after Ian Wright (1993/94 and 1995-96) and Nicklas Bendtner (2009/10).
Arsenal will travel to Villa park on Saturday December 9 to face Aston Villa in what has been dubbed a cracker by football expert.
