Jurgen Klopp Liverpool manager, has reflected on their 4-3 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final clash on Sunday.
The Reds had the game in the bag but failed to wrap it up in the second half of the encounter and Anthony’s equalizer in the 88th minute brought United back into the game.
Amad Diallo then netted a last-minute winner in extra time at Old Trafford to send the Red Devils into the semi-final of the tournament.
The loss kills off Klopp’s hopes of winning a Quadruple in his last season at Anfield.
“We could have won the game and we would have deserved it. But United deserved it as well.
“At 2-1 up we had so many chances to kill the game. Last pass not right, or in a rush in some moments. The rest is already history, if you want.
“The longer the game goes, the decision-making does not get any better. Congratulations to United, going to the semi-final, we have a game less, or have two games less, and we try to use that in the next few weeks,” Klopp told ITV.
