FIFA picks Nigerian referees for Tunisia, Sao Tome World Cup qualifier clash

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has picked Nigerian referee Ogabor Joseph as the center referee to be at the centre when Tunisia host Sao Tome and Principe in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Tunis on Thursday.

Ogabor will be assisted by Pwadutakam Samuel (assistant referee 1) and Igho Hope (assistant referee 2).

Bashir Salisu will be the fourth official , while Boureima Attama will be referee assessor.

Algeria’s Ghouti Mohammed will be the match commissioner.

The encounter at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi will kick-off at 8pm.

The opening match of Group H between Tunisia and SàoTome e Principe at Stade Olympique de Rades Tunis on Friday, 17th November 2023, will be a litmus test for Nigerian officials.

The Nigerian Referees Association (NRA), led by Hon. Alhaji Sani Zubairu, expresses confidence in the appointed team and wishes them safe travels, a seamless experience, and a successful match.
