France and PSG striker, Kylian Mbappe has revealed that it will be difficult for him to forget the pains of losing the 2022 World Cup finals to Argentina.

Mbappe scored three goals including one at the shootout for France but his side still lost 4-2 on penalties to Argentina at the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Lionel Messi only returned to Paris on Monday, Janury 2nd after embarking on Xmas and Ney break, Mbappe made a swift return to domestic action, securing a late 2-1 win against Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Wednesday, the match saw Neymar sent off after seeing 60 minutes of action.

Meanwhile, when speaking after scoring a 96th-minute penalty he had won himself, the 24-year-old acknowledged the pain of France’s loss in Doha will stay with him forever, but stressed he does not feel his team-mates should pay the price for those emotions.

However PSG lost 3-1 to lens in a match that saw Neymar and Messi missing out of action due to sending off and and Messi’s late arrival to camp.

“I’ll never digest it,” Metro.co.uk quoted Mbappe as saying.

“But like I told my coach and teammates, there’s no reason that my club should pay for a defeat with my national team, it’s two different situations.

“The message was simple -it was to show that, whatever goes on with the national team, PSG is a separate thing and I’m still determined to bring trophies to the capital.”
