Manchester United intend to double the wages of Bruno Fernandes.
The Mirror says the negotiation for higher pay is understood to be taking place just before the Euros kick off in June.
However, there’s a short window of time that the meeting can take place as there are just five days between United’s Europa League final against Villarreal on May 26 and Fernandes heading off on international duty.
If the deal can be done it’s believed the club are prepared to offer the star £200,000-a-week and it’s clear to see why.
The Portuguese star is the club’s top scorer after slotting 26 goals and creating 17 assists over 53 appearances in all competitions this season.
While Fernandes does have four years left on his United contract, the star’s form and influence at the club means he wants to know more about the club’s future.
