A clip has surfaced online of Ronaldo’s teammate at club level Bruno Fernamdes’ reaction when they both met in Portugal’s team camp.
Ronaldo and Fernandez had a very cold reunion upon meeting at the team’s camp in Lisbon on Monday evening.
Both players share the dressing room for both club and country and the Portuguese are currently preparing for their warm-up match with Nigeria before their opening Group H game against Ghana in the 2022 World Cup.
Ronaldo’s interview with ace journalist, Piers Morgan generated a lot of reactions and it reportedly went down like a lead balloon with his teammates.
Fernandes was reunited with Ronaldo for the first time in Portugal camp with the 37-year-old having already joined his national team and took part in a training session on Monday.
Fernandez suddenly bumped into Ronaldo and was going to ignore him but decided to shake hands with him on second thought abeit belated and mumbled some words before leaving the scene.
Fernandes’ comment left Ronaldo looking stony-faced, in the viral video before the pair exchanged words and Fernandes walked away to greet other team-mates – doing so in a far more cheery manner.
The Portuguese national team will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria on the 17th of this month before traveling to Qatar for the Mundial a day after.
