The management of Skyspprts Media Ltd , the publisher of Skysports Newspaper is to honour Edo State Governor Mr Godwin Obaseki, Comr Philip Shuaibu, Ned Nwoko and others.
Speaking in a press briefing organized in Apapa Lagos, the editor in chief of Skyports Godwin Aikigbe said the award in honour of the aforementioned personalities and a business Mogul become sacrosanct considering their immense contributions to the development of youth and sports in the society.
According to Godwin Aikigbe Skysports is set to re-launch and unveil its new logo on Wednesday 18th March 2020 at Da – Civic Centre AirPort Road, Benin Edo State.
The editor who displayed some copies of papers stressed that Skysports is a reputable paper that has strategically position itself to meet the need of its valued and esteemed customers in the society and at large.
The editor Aikigbe stated that there is no gainsaying that their style of reporting is to reflect the current action in the World of sports and attract mainstream readers who seek to understand the importance of entertainment and issues that affect private life and the society.
The chairman LOC/Managing consultant Skysports Media award Ambassador Moses Ebahor said the event will be one of the best in Nigeria as an award is to honour deserved personalities, corporate organizations, that have contributed to sports development in Nigeria. The Edo State Governor Mr Godwin Obaseki will be honoured as Sports Governor of the year while his Deputy Comr Philip Shuaibu as the sports administration of the year.
According to Ambassador Moses, others categories of award are; Outstanding Sport Banker of the year, Outstanding Sport Company of the year, Best Local Government on Sport, Best Vice-Chancellor in Sport, Outstanding Speaker of the year, Best Sport supporter of the year, Best Sport Insurance Company of the year, Best Sport Betting Company of the year, Sport Life Achievement Award etc.
Others to be honoured are people like Chief Vincent Okumagba, Brown Ebewele Bash Ali, Chioma Ajunwa etc who have in one way or the order contributed to the development of sports in the country.
