anchester United Double winner Andrei Kanchelskis says former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserved Sunday’s sacking.
Kanchelskis says defeat at Watford had to be the final straw.
He told Sport-Express: “Well-deserved dismissal. I’ve been following him for the last three years, losing the most important games. The team seems to be doing well, but the most important matches, for example, the FA Cup semi-finals or the Europa League semi-finals, have been lost.
“Fans of Manchester United are demanding, want and demand only victories and trophies. It has already boiled over: Watford to lose 1:4 – this has never happened before!”
On Zinedine Zidane as a replacement, Kanchelskis added: “Zidane worked in a big club, in Real Madrid, he has experience. But it seems to me that he wants a little more rest from club football.
“Let’s see if they make him an offer that he cannot refuse, he will probably take this decision. But I think, here, rather, someone from the Italian specialists, for example (Antonio) Conte, would be useful. But he is already busy, unfortunately.”
