Management of Lagos-based club, MFM FC, is not happy about the club`s inability to win a game after three matches in the on-going Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The management also said the trend is unexpected of a team vying for continental ticket.
MFM’s spokesperson, Olawale Quadri, said that the team did not bargain for such unexpected result.
TheNewsGuru reports that MFM has yet to win in the last three NPFL games from the last league game of the first stanza which they lost away to Akwa United by 0-2.
MFM, however, played a scoreless encounter against same team at their soccer Temple in Agege.
MFM then played away to Niger Tornadoes and lost s 0-3, which could also be regarded to as a reversal of the opener against the Minna-based team.
Fans of the team have started to be apprehensive of their chances in its continental aspirations, which the management says is still on course.
Quadri said that the team would try to put an end to their win less streak in the next game against FC IfeanyiUbah, when both team meet in the Match Day 22 at Agege.
“We have yet to win a game in the last three league matches which is painful, it is not expected and we will put an end to that with FC Ifeanyin Uba game in Agege.
“It is a must win game for us, and we are determined to win in order to bounce back to reckoning and to our winning ways.
“FC Ifeanyi Uba have yet to record a victory over us before our 0-4 loss to them in Nnewi, so we are ready to have our own pound of flesh,” he said.
Quadri said that the team had no injury concerns among the players and they were rearing to engage their opponent.
“At present, we don’t have any injury concern; all the boys are in top shape for the next match.
“Our players that went on national assignment are due back. Sikiru Olatunbosun will be back today and will be part of the team to play in the next match.
“The fans have been supportive and we are assuring them that we will put smiles back to their faces in our next match,’’ he said.
