Victor Osimhen has been included in the nomination list for UEFA Champions League goal of the week award.
Osimhen scored a superb goal in Napoli’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday night.
The lanky striker received a through ball from teammate, Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, guided the ball so nicely before turning Inigo Martinez just inside the penalty area and slotted the ball past Barcelona goalie for Napoli’s equalizer.
It was the forward’s first goal in the UEFA Champions League this season.
The 25-year-old was in action for 75 minutes in the game.
Barcelona Forward, Robert Lewandowski, PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen and Porto’s Gelano are the other players in contention for the award.
