Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has hinted that his side is closing to reaching two UEFA Champions League finals in a row.
Recall Both Liverpool and Real Madrid played last season’s final with the Madrid side carrying the day.
However, Ancelotti said this while speaking on the favourite club between Real Madrid and Manchester City that will advance from the Champions League semi-final stage.
Real Madrid and Man City will clash in the Champions League last four in May after knocking out Chelsea and Bayern Munich, respectively in the quarter-final stage.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga tie with Celta Vigo on Saturday night, Ancelotti said: “I don’t think about whether we are favourites or not; we know that we are very close to a final, that we are facing very strong opposition and that it is going to be an evenly matched tie. Let’s see what happens.”
Real Madrid will face Manchester City on April 10 ar Madrid with the reverse fixture at the Etihad one week later.
