Bayern Munich new manager, Thomas Tuchel has stated reasons why his side lost 3-0 against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final first leg encounter at the Etihad.
Rodri scored a stunning long range shot to give City the lead in the first half of the encounter.
Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland added goals after the break, to ensure City took a healthy lead into the return leg.
Tuchel, speaking to Prime Video, said: “I think we deserved at least one goal and gave away one or two too many. I think our players were lacking a bit in confidence and form.
“Of course, the result is bitter for us. I fell in love with my team a little today, the way they performed. Even if it sounds strange, that was a lot of fun.”
The reverse fixture takes place at the Allianz Arena next weeek Wednesday with City having a three goal advantage.
